There’s so many times in this life when you see people who are willing to just go with it…go with the flow so their lives are easier.
People want an easy life. An easy life would be lovely. But is an easy life really one where you have that voice in the back of your head asking, what if? Like what if you took that plane to that place you always wanted to go? What if you had ever started that business?
For me personally…I never want a life full of those sort of questions. It isn’t worth it to ignore the what ifs. It makes life too heavy and when you feel heavy, those question marks hang off you like dead weights. One of the worst things I could do would be not to pursue the things I want to do. I have four businesses I closed down, I moved to a city where I knew no one and I’m about to move half way across the world on my next adventure. You just can’t say no to the things you want to do.
So what do you do? You keep not settling. You should never settle. Don’t settle for the mundane. Don’t settle for the ordinary. Don’t settle for negative friends. Don’t settle for a job that makes you unhappy. Don’t settle for anything in this life that you don’t count as extraordinary. You simply don’t have the time.
Of course…you might argue, people have different versions of extraordinary. But one thing you cannot argue is that you’re reading this because you want something a little more. A little more than you have right now. That little more could seriously make your life amazing.
You have to decide what your version of extraordinary is and then you have to pursue the hell out of that. Because if you don’t take charge and set your world alight..sure as hell that anyone else is going to do it for you.
So…keep not settling.
