Birthday brights at Kensington Roof Top Gardens

Sarah Betty birthday girl birthday betty Cici Kensington Roof Gardens London 2Birthdays are one of my favourite times of the year. I think it’s such a special time and not just because it’s a day about me (although, who doesn’t love that?), but really it’s a way to reflect on your life and what you’re grateful for.

What I wore: dress by Cici £59 | Pink shoes by Topshop £30 in sale | Jewellery by Clare Hynes

I always thought I’d feel differently about where I am right now, that things would be different, but I think people ALWAYS think that about where they are in life right?

Yesterday I was treated to lunch and bubbles at Babylon at Kensington Roof Gardens and although it rained…we still took time to explore the gardens. One of the nicest things about being there when it was raining, was drinking outside, whilst being kept warm by the heaters. It amounts to that smug, cosy feeling you get when it rains outside, you know?

I wore this dress from my new favourite brand Cici. They do beautiful bright, bejewelled clothes which I always feel if I designed is the sort of thing I’d do. It turns out the prints fit in just perfectly with the gardens! My pink shoes are from Topshop and I love the contrast with the dress.

The mains was lovely…I ate lamb roasted fillets…which were sooo soft. They came with courgette & basil purée, chargrilled yellow and green courgette with spiced cous cous. The dessert I was less impressed with – as the cake was quite dry.

You can get two courses for £25 or three for £28. Not bad huh?

Definitely recommend you go…it’s sooo dreamy!

Have you been there? Let me know what you think!
