Getting my hair dip dyed at Andrew Barton’s salon

I’ve been growing my hair for a long time, mainly because I had a bit of a horrific time when too much was shaved off 5 years ago. Ever since then I have not touched it with colour, or even, really, heat appliances.

It’s finally getting to a length I like, and even though I wanted it to be twice the length, I really want to make a bit of a change, so I don’t get bored and chop it all of again. Because I’m going on holiday, I really wanted something that wasn’t just updating my black hair colour, but adding some colour to it.

I decided to go for a subtle dip dye, so instead of having blonde put in it, it’s more like a brownish colour, which is no doubt going to lighten quite a lot when I am away. I think the colours will  look great with beach waves. My hair only does beach waves nicely while I am away, so I am excited to see it. It’s such a non-committal style! The staff are super friendly and you get incredible service. You can see how subtle the colours are, and was done using Redken.

I really like it and hope it doesn’t turn ginger in the sun! It cost me £130, so you can have a look at their website here to see what services they offer. What do you think of my new hair?
