Day two of London Fashion Week was a whirlwind of design talent at Fashion Scout. Just the way I like it. See my favourite shows below:
Luxe leathers and fitted forms in Bernard Chandran, with certain revealing dicing of materials which added to a heightened racy affects in the designs. I particularly loved the fitted sparkling skirt, which I would pair with a white shirt for feminine business dressing.
Easily my favourite of the day, this presentation was absolute genius and I loved the creative way they put it together. ‘Fashion meets Paranoia’ was the theme and it displayed this wonderfully. Models posed with Liz’s creations, which ranged from a quirky skirt resembling a pair of lips, to beautiful dresses that flared at the waist. The incredible Face Lace which create intricate designs to stick on the body added to the effect, including delicate little bejewelled ants they were decorating people with.
I even got to try some of the lips and ants out for myself!
Kiev Fashion Days
The brain child of Daria Shapovalova, who is from Ukraine, she set up this programme to showcase the emerging talent of Kiev to the world. Kiev Fashion Days show, made up of six international designers – Anna K, Anton Belinskiy, Lera Leshchova, Lia Syn, RCR KHOMENKO and Yasya Minochkina
Lipstick lovers everywhere will rejoice at this collection – there were red lipsticks ahoy by design duo made up of Virginia Ferreira and Chris Neuman. The collection entitled, “Paris Cats after Midnight” which is pretty amazing featured flowing sleeves and dresses, contracted with printed silk slips and bell skirts. The gold chains and lipstick prints gave an urban edge to the image of a slinking Parisian woman dans la noir.
