Spring/summer trend: under the sea

If like me you’ve been lured by the siren’s song of the Under the Sea trend for Spring/Summer, you’ve probably been searching high and low for suitable clothes for this beautiful trend.

For all you sea nymphs out there, you need not have flowing locks and a tail for this trend, just lovely flowing dresses in seashell pinks, blues and aquamarine colours. Clothes are shimmery, iridescent and oh so beautiful.

1) Modcloth Seashell Clutch Bag £47

Because of course, like the Chanel show – you want to be able to carry your things around in a seashell non? Perfect for riding the waves with your little sea friends, this is a very glam way of working the trend.

 2) Topshop Pleated Shimmering Skirt £65

Isn’t this the prettiest thing? I love the peach colour, which would look brilliant against a summer tan. Hey, mermaids sunbathe too right?

 3) TFNC Sequin Maxi £75.00

Every little mermaid is gonna love this sequin number. This maxi dress features a pleated chiffon skirt and round sequin top. Great for parties, or work, you can bring a little bit of ocean magic with you wherever you go.

4) Paperself: Under the Sea Eyelashes £11.95

These gorgeous little paper eyelashes are cut into tiny seahorse and coral shapes which are the perfect intricate detailing for this trend.

5) Under the Sea Nails £1.80

You can even get your nails in on the trend and use blue and greens painted over one another. Be warned though, your nails may disappear in water, because they’ll blend in so well!

And just to really get you in the mood – here is Sebastian singing that famous lil’ song (just how was he Jamaican anyway?):

What do you think of this trend? And do you agree with the choices I made?
